Paper Affair Yorktown is truly a family affair. Chris & Sheridan decided to pursue the franchise business in the Fall of 2007, after operating a small web stationery business for 6 years.

Because they understood the incredible time commitment that goes into operating a retail storefront, their #1 priority was securing a family member to come on board to help Sheridan with the daily operations. Sheridan’s sister Layne graciously stepped up to the challenge and the planning began.

Growing up in Kentucky, Layne & Sheridan have been raised to appreciate the Southern formalities of social etiquette and entertaining. Together, they work to bring a taste of the South to the Upper Midwest and share their love of entertaining with the residents of Chicago and its Western Suburbs!

After much planning and construction, the store opened its doors in October 2008.

4 sisters . . . Layne, Sheridan, Bethany & Brennan - not exactly names you could find on a your typical bicycle license plate or sticker spinner rack at the local gift shop, but that didn’t stop Mom & Dad! Sure, they had to search a little bit harder - but they were able to find lots of specialty items that could be personalized with our unique names.
